Photography Tips for Your Balloon Ride

- Bring a fully charged phone or camera. Battery life drops quickly in cold morning air, so start with 100%.
- Use burst mode during the sunrise moment. The light changes rapidly and you want to capture the exact second when the sun appears above the mountains.
- Shoot in landscape orientation for wide panoramas. The vast Moroccan terrain looks best when you can capture the full sweep of the horizon.
- Do not forget to look down. Some of the most compelling shots are directly below — the pattern of palm groves, the geometric layout of villages and the shadow of your own balloon stretching across the ground.
- Put the camera away for at least a few minutes. The experience of simply being present, with the wind on your face and the world spread out beneath you, is something no photograph can fully capture.
Making the Most of Your Morning
After landing, most flights include a traditional Moroccan breakfast — fresh bread, local honey, olive oil, soft cheese and plenty of mint tea. This is served in the open air, often in a palm grove or desert clearing, and it is the perfect way to reflect on what you have just experienced.
