Frequently Asked Questions

Your safety is at the heart of everything we do. Every one of our pilots holds full international certification and undergoes continuous training. Before each flight, our ground crew performs a comprehensive inspection of the balloon, basket and burner systems. We only launch when meteorological conditions are within strict safety parameters, and our equipment is serviced and certified on a regular schedule. Over our entire history we have maintained a flawless safety record.

Marrakech enjoys favourable ballooning weather for most of the year. The peak season runs from October to April, when the air is crisp, skies are clear and temperatures are comfortable at altitude. Flights during the summer months (June to August) are still possible, though the heat can be more pronounced on the ground before and after the flight. We never fly in high winds, storms or poor visibility.

All flights launch at sunrise, when wind conditions are calmest and the light is most spectacular. Your hotel pickup is generally scheduled around 5:00 AM. The precise timing shifts slightly with the seasons as sunrise times change. We will send you a message with your exact pickup time the day before your flight.

Plan for roughly four hours in total. That covers the drive from your hotel to the launch field, watching the balloon come to life during inflation, a short safety talk, the 45- to 60-minute flight itself, a traditional Moroccan breakfast once you are back on solid ground, and the return transfer to Marrakech.

Dress in layers — mornings in the desert can be surprisingly cool, even in warmer months, and temperatures rise quickly once the sun is up. Sturdy closed-toe shoes are essential; sandals, flip-flops and heels are not permitted. We also suggest bringing sunglasses and applying sunscreen. Please avoid loose scarves, dangling jewellery or anything that could catch near the burner flame.

Guests must be at least six years old to fly. For medical safety reasons, expectant mothers cannot be accommodated. If you have a significant cardiac condition, spinal issues, or any condition that limits your ability to remain standing for an extended period, we strongly recommend consulting your physician prior to booking. A maximum weight limit of 120 kg per person applies.

Safety is never negotiable. Should conditions fall outside our flying parameters, we will reach out as early as possible — often the evening before — to arrange an alternative date during your stay. If your schedule does not allow rescheduling, you will receive a complete refund with no cancellation charges whatsoever.

Reservations can be made through our online contact form, by telephone, or via WhatsApp. A deposit is required to lock in your date, and the remaining balance is due before the flight. We accept bank transfers as well as cash payment at the launch site. For group bookings or private charters, get in touch with us directly so we can tailor the arrangements to your needs.

We have three options to suit every budget and occasion. The Classic Flight starts at 1,200 Dhs per person on a shared balloon with 16 to 24 fellow travellers. The Private Flight begins at 4,000 Dhs and gives your group exclusive use of the entire balloon for up to 28 guests. The VIP Flight, from 6,000 Dhs, includes a private balloon for up to 30 passengers with a full breakfast served on board. Every package includes hotel transfers, 4x4 ride to the site, the flight, breakfast and a personalised certificate.

Children aged six and over are warmly welcome on any of our flights. The basket walls are high and sturdy, providing a secure environment, and the pilot delivers a clear safety briefing before every departure. An accompanying adult is required for all young passengers. If you are travelling with younger children, the Private Flight is a great choice — it lets your family enjoy the experience privately and without time pressure.

This is one of the questions we hear most often, and the answer almost always surprises people. Unlike standing on a cliff edge or a tall building, a balloon basket feels remarkably stable because it drifts with the air currents rather than against them. There is no swinging, no wind in your face and no sudden drops. The vast majority of our guests who started out anxious describe the flight as one of the most serene experiences they have ever had. Our pilots are well practised at putting first-timers at ease from the very first moment.
